Notes About Vintage BonesThe online vintage store, ‘Vintage Bones’, was founded in 2012 by Jordan Bone. Vintage Bones moves away from the generation of clones. Every street corner we turn everyone seems to be wearing similar clothes, every high street store we enter we’re being offered the same style clothes, everyone is slowing merging in to one and losing the individual quirks we are all born with.
Our fashion choices reflect our personality therefore wearing the same as every other person doesn’t show who we are at all anymore. By choosing vintage clothing, which the majority of the time are one off pieces which have been handed down through the generations, we’re creating ourselves again. Wearing vintage gives you the chance to be YOU. You won’t have the embarrassment of wearing the same as someone else at a wedding, party or any other event. When asked where you got your clothes from you can answer with confidence ‘Vintage Bones’ knowing that you won’t be copied as everything is a one off piece. However, VB does offer the chance to buy vintage style clothing which is brand new, straight from the manufacturer. With the vintage style range I aim to buy as little of the same items as possible but if you really, really want something I will happily try and order it for you.
Another perk to wearing vintage is that you’re helping save the planet! Yes, you really can look amazing and be an eco goddess too! Wearing vintage is simply recycling! Not only are you recycling a dress, top, skirt etc but you’re also recycling a story. Every item has a story, been involved in love stories, love affairs, champagne dinners, God knows where!
